June 7th was the first day of school at our house. We decided when Jaden's charter school (
if you aren't aware of the school changes we made with Jaden I will brief you here...there was some problems with his public school and after we weighed the pros and cons we decided it was in Jaden's best interest to remove him from that school and enroll him into a charter school. I have no idea yet what we plan for next year, I would like to consider a private school system or even home school.) ended for the year we would start a summer home school program. I basically just decided what I wanted the boys to learn over the summer and found cirriculum to match. I don't have plans on following what a second grader or preschooler should know, instead I just want to move with what we want to learn and grow with.
Jaden is working on phonics, writing, reading, and a little math. He struggles with phonics and language arts so we will make it fun and focus mostly on those subjects this summer. We are also learning about North America and the United States.
Jonah is learning his alphabets, numbers and counting, how to spell his name and he also is working along side Jaden with Maps.
Liam, he is so interested in what his big brothers are doing that he does his best to mimic them. Its amazing how much he picks up.
The picture below are of Jonah's little project he did today. We used letters to spell out his name and he glued them to construction paper. He loves school and is excited over the possibilities of starting preschool this year.
